Description

Course ID 41211
This course will prepare child care professionals to reduce the risk of sleep-related infant deaths in family child care homes, group child care homes, and child care center settings by using safe sleep practices recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Many causes of sleep-related infant death are environmental, a result of unsafe sleeping conditions. This means that many sleep-related infant deaths are preventable. In this course, you will learn how to help keep infants safe by paying attention to what puts them at risk for sleep-related death. All caregivers of infants in licensed child care settings are required to complete safe sleep training. This training meets that requirement.
